Classic Boiled Shrimp

Classic Boiled Shrimp

Ingredients

  • 2 pounds raw medium shrimp

  • 4 ounces shrimp and crab boil or 2 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning

  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt

Directions

  1. Peel and devein the shrimp.
  2. Bring 8 cups of water, seasoning and salt to boil in a large pot.
  3. Add the shrimp to the pot and simmer until the shrimp float to the top and are cooked through, about 3 minutes.
  4. Drain the shrimp in a colander and top with ice to cool. Serve with your favorite cocktail sauce or remoulade for a spicy kick.
