This perfect pesto recipe comes from the Ratto Family near Donald, Oregon. They have supplied us with culinary herbs since we opened the doors at Raleigh Hills in 2000. Just mix six simple ingredients and presto! An unbeatable pasta sauce from basic basil beauty.
1 cup fresh basil leaves, packed
1 clove garlic
3 tablespoons pine nuts
3/4 cup parmesan cheese grated
1/2 cup olive oil
1/8 teaspoon salt
Place washed and dried basil, garlic, pine nuts, salt and cheese in a blender or food processor.
Add olive oil and pulse until mixture forms a thick puree.
Pour over cooked hot pasta and serve.
